The upcoming downloadable content expansion for Elden Ring is going to make an already massive game even more so in the not-too-distant future.

Because FromSoftware has made a habit of releasing downloadable content for its Soulsborne games, we all knew that it was probably only a matter of time before some additional content for Elden Ring launched, and it was finally revealed earlier this year after being in the works since the game's initial release.  We do not currently have a lot of information about the downloadable content expansion that has been given the name Shadow of the Erdtree.  However, the announcement did hint that it will include "new adventures in the Lands Between. "When looking at the breathtaking concept art, which appears to feature Malenia's older brother Miquella, it would appear that we should get ready to unpack a whole load of new lore (as well as fight a lot more controller-smashingly difficult bosses).

Take a look at the gamer who is using only her mind to play Elden Ring down below.  According to Soulsborne enthusiast Lance McDonald, the developers' plans for additional downloadable content were almost entirely different from what they are now before Shadow of the Erdtree was released for Elden Ring.  However, as of right now, FromSoftware has not confirmed if there will be any more DLC coming to Elden Ring after Shadow of the Erdtree.  According to a report by Twisted Voxel, McDonald made the allegations in a series of messages that were posted on Discord.  He claimed that the game was nearly given a season pass of downloadable content (DLC) at launch.

By the way, Eden Ring was supposed to launch with a season pass that included two downloadable content packs.

  •  Everything had been meticulously prepared for," McDonald wrote.

  • "I have no idea when exactly it was cancelled; it just didn't happen in the first place, and then the colosseums appeared out of nowhere for no cost.

  • "They were lacking a significant amount of content.

  •  And there will only be one DLC available.

  •  It almost feels like what happened with that was Bloodborne.

  • Purchasing a season pass was in every way the initial plan.

  • McDonald thinks that it would be best to "make one massive DLC," and I'm sure that a lot of other players share his viewpoint.

  •  Having said that, we have not yet seen the scope of Shadow of the Erdtree; therefore, let us hope that whenever it is released, it lives up to the anticipation of the fans.

The development of a massive fan-made expansion for the Elden Ring has begun.  It is extremely unlikely that you will come across another video game title that can compete with Elden Ring for the title of "Game of the Year. "Apologies go out to Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Horizon: Forbidden West, but the countless reviews scoring a perfect 10 out of 10 don't lie.

We are all aware that the most recent release from FromSoftware is massive.  Because The Lands Between is so enormous, and because it contains a wealth of secrets to unearth and challenging bosses to overcome, HowLongToBeat estimates that it will take the typical completionist approximately 130 hours to experience everything that the game has to offer.  Despite this, fans have continued to voice their desire for additional DLC expansions, and while there has been no official word on the matter as of yet, the announcement of the next best thing has just taken place.

Before we get into it, I want you to make sure you take a look at this hilarious mod for Elden Ring.  In it, all of the antagonists and characters have been replaced with other well-known faces.

The developers of Dark Souls III's excellent Convergence Mod are now working on an overhaul for Elden Ring that is comparable to the one they worked on for that game, as was revealed on Twitter.  They wrote, "The stars have aligned, The Convergence is nigh," referring to the impending event. "The construction work has gotten under way. "
